Nearly after waiting for one year, Google unveils its updated Penguin 3.0 version, which is aimed to fight with spam websites especially those websites that has not adhered with the linking guidelines of Google and fall under link schemes. We have notified earlier that Penguin 3.0 is expected to hit soon. As usual with earlier updates, this update too will have good effects on some websites’ ranking while it will also adversely affect some websites, which have yet not followed the Google’s link building principles.

As per the reports of Search Engine Land, some have noticed slight changes occurring in the search results of Google starting from the last Friday night and thus, the speculations related with the launch of Penguin 3.0 update have risen in the atmosphere. Google has already claimed to launch this update this month and from the changes in its search results, it becomes pretty clear that it has bombed the search queries with its latest Penguin update from last Friday itself.

When asked for the confirmation, Google has verified to Search Engine Land that this update has already rolled out. However, until this date, Google has not provided any further details related with the percentage of search results, which have been affected by the roll of Penguin 3.0 update since its launch.

It might seem to be a long wait for Penguin release, but now Google has lifted curtain by releasing the sixth version of its Penguin search engine algorithm. This update is majorly known as Penguin 3.0 but this name is not given by Google itself but as per the previous numbering system of Penguin updates, this number syncs well.

This latest Penguin update of Google is termed as one of the most waited algorithmic updates in Google’s history. Most of the publishers were excitedly waiting for this update, which has finally rolled out in the market since last Friday. The reason why publishers were waiting was that impacts related with any update of Google’s search engine algorithm will only get reflected when the next version is released in the market.

Those publishers that were impacted by earlier update release of Penguin in October 2013 are eager to know if their efforts made during the earlier update has gone in favor of their websites or not. It is time for all the search engine marketers to wait and monitor what changes will be experienced to their websites due to Penguin 3.0 update.
